Privacy issues and Interacting with Unrepresented Parties in Civil and Criminal Cases

Constable Mohammad began his career with the Edmonton Police Service in 2014 where he worked with many marginalized communities. In 2018 he transferred to the Niagara Regional Police Service where he worked in uniform patrol and the Grimsby 8 District Criminal investigations Bureau before joining the Service’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Unit. Constable Mohammad has been involved with strengthening community partnerships, assisting in educating officers regarding all aspects of EDI and seeking the best methods to assist members of the Service in communicating with individuals that face communication barriers. Constable Mohammad assists frontline officers on investigations where bias/hate is identified as a contributing factor.
