Cyndy Skillins, B.A., R.M.T., I.C.P.S., P.I.
Cyndy Skillins has a B.A. from York University & studied Psychology and Phys Ed.. Her work history after university included sales for a large trucking firm, Sales Manager for a small Airline, Management Consulting and then she returned to school for R.M.T. (Registered Massage Therapy).
Cyndy then began her own company, Corporate Care, in 1991 bringing Massage Therapy into the workplace as part of a corporation’s wellness programmes.
Cyndy plays an active role with York Regional Police Service (YRP) and other Polices Services across Ontario. Since 2001 Cyndy has volunteered in YRP programmes including: Neighbourhood Watch, then as chair of P.A.C.T. (Police & Community Together) in Aurora, and as a Volunteer with YRP. Since 2009 Cyndy has been the chair for cocpa (Central Ontario Crime Prevention Association).
At 17 Cyndy attended the 21 day Outward Bound school in B.C. Their moto is “To Serve, To Strive, and Not to Yield” and she quickly adopted this as her own compass along with her drive to always ask “Why?”. These two principals are her guiding forces.
