Theo Agbonifo has a background in Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s degree in Engineering Management and a MBA in Oil & Gas Management. He has had well over 20 years’ experience post-graduation, with the first 8 years in blue chip manufacturing industries and the last 13 years in the Oil & Gas industry covering Asset Management, Reliability, and Operational Excellence.
In 2003, he joined Nigeria LNG where he held various roles in the Maintenance department and later was among the pioneer team that set up the Reliability section in Nigeria LNG. Theo went on to coordinate the Global Asset Management Excellence program in Nigeria LNG and the Operational Reliability, Asset Integrity, and Process Safety framework currently in use in the company. He is currently the Asset Integrity Coordinator with long term activities’ support responsibilities in Nigeria LNG.
Theo frequently attends and participates in many internationally organized conferences on Energy, Reliability and LNG across Europe and North America. He is a Corporate member of both the Nigerian Society of Engineers as well as the Council of Regulation for Engineering in Nigeria, an Associate member of the Institute and Guild of Brewing (UK), and a features writer for the Industrial Maintenance and Engineering magazine (an educational magazine based in the UK).
