Utpal Pajvani is an endocrinologist with a focus in diabetes. He graduated with M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at Columbia University/New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Pajvani sees patients at the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center, and is a teaching attending on the inpatient and outpatient Endocrinology services of the New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia. Dr. Pajvani’s research focuses on how obesity causes Type 2 Diabetes and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD).
