Ron McMorran is a domestic resource mobilization (DRM) and public financial management (PFM) expert with diverse international experience and an established leader of successful projects. Ron is known for his ability to build effective teams and utilize proven analytical and capacity building tools and techniques to enable governments to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of economic policy, promote sustainable growth, and ultimately increase investment, employment and standards of living.An international development practitioner since 1993, he has advised the IMF, the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, USAID, the UN Commission on Sustainable Development, the NAFTA Financial Services Committee and governments on critical growth initiatives in over 30 countries around the globe. He has served as a Senior Executive with the Canadian Ministry of Finance, an economist with the Fiscal Affairs Department of the IMF, a consultant with the World Bank, and an advisor to foreign governments. Ron has led teams that applied innovative approaches to strengthening Domestic Resource Mobilization and PFM policy and administration, contributed to the development of USAID fiduciary risk management policy and trained USAID professional staff and counterparts in domestic resource mobilization and public financial management.
