Shanta Scott is a Clinical Instructor in the School of Social Work at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. She teaches in the undergraduate program. Prior to teaching, Shanta worked with at-risk individuals, the mental health population, intellectually disabled individuals, and the young adult population in the Dallas/Fort Worth and surrounding areas. Her areas of research interest include women in leadership, self-care, cultural diversity, spirituality, and rural social work practice. Shanta engages in community activity through Brown’s Family Health Center and various church organizations.
