Emily Rooker, a dynamic Memphis-based songwriter and performer, captures the essence of the city with her compelling musical storytelling. An award-winning artist, she debuted her rock opera "The Long Goodbye" in 2022 and has released three studio albums. Voted Memphis Songwriter’s Association 2022 Songwriter of the Year, she also won accolades for her music video "Don’t Come Home" at the Indie Memphis Film Festival. Recently, Emily composed music for the acclaimed play "Dance Nation" and developed new works during residencies in Grand Marais and Lisbon.
