Dr. Imoleayo Adeyeri is a seasoned researcher and fund development professional with over 17 years of work experience across the nonprofit sectors of Africa, the United States, and Canada. A Ph.D. candidate at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, her work focuses on the intersection of health equity and grantmaking, specifically investigating how philanthropic foundations can reduce disparities for marginalized communities. Throughout her career, Imoleayo has successfully managed large-scale grant portfolios and fund development strategies for major organizations, including UNICEF, UNFPA, African Union, the American Red Cross, and the American Diabetes Association. Her leadership extends to board service with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Canada, where she has been a vocal advocate for Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) in philanthropy. A 2022 recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee Medal, Imoleayo combines rigorous academic research with practical fundraising expertise to build more equitable and sustainable funding models for global social impact.
