The National Academy of InventorsĀ® is a 501(c)(3) non-profit member organization comprising U.S. and international universities, and governmental and non-profit research institutes, with over 4,000 individual inventor members and Fellows spanning more than 250 institutions worldwide.
The NAI publishes the multidisciplinary journal Technology and Innovation, Journal of the National Academy of InventorsĀ®.
Membership with the NAI is available through local university and non-profit research institute chapters only. To join your university or non-profit research institute's chapter, you must be a member of your institution's academic community (includes faculty, staff, alumni and affiliates) and have a patent issued from the USPTO.
Universities and non-profit research institutes are invited to Establish a Local Chapter of the NAI, to recognize and encourage their community of inventors.
