Matt earned his undergraduate degree in business administration from Pepperdine University. Following graduating from Pepperdine University, he earned his law degree in 2002 from Syracuse University College of Law where he graduated magna cum laude.
While in law school, he served as an editor on the Business and Technology Journal. He took and passed the California Bar in 2002 and then went to the Georgetown Law Center in Washington D.C. and earned his L.L.M in Taxation in 2003. While attending Georgetown, he interned at Deloitte and was exposed to various tax issues in a practical setting exposing him to tax, business and intellectual property issues.
Prior to Joining Charles Schwab, Matt was attorney in the Business Department of Lionel Sawyer & Collins. I have been at Lionel Sawyer & Collins since I accepted the position in 2005.
