The Educational Leadership Programs at Western Carolina University offer a Masters in School Administration (MSA), Principal Fellows Program (PF), a Post-Master’s certificate (PMC), and a doctorate in Educational Leadership (EdD). All of our programs are designed to develop formal school leaders to create more successful outcomes for all students and lead teams to address problems in schools. Similarly, WCU is a part of the Principal Fellows Program, a competitive, merit-based scholarship loan program funded by the North Carolina General Assembly. Those who already have a Masters degree may complete the Post-Masters Certificate to earn principal licensure. The EdD is a three-year program where students meet once a month at our instructional site in Asheville, NC. Additional coursework is completed online. Students can also earn a superintendent’s license in the program.
