What is the Purpose of the Plano Firefighters Association? To advocate for our membership specifically in the following areas ◦Fair wages ◦Reasonable work hours and adequate leave ◦Safe working conditions (PPE, apparatus, stations, etc.) ◦Ensuring that applicable laws/ordinances, city policies, and departmental SOPs are uniformly enforced ◦Member representation including providing legal assistance Additional services that we provide ◦Benevolence towards membership and/or family of members ◦Community relations and outreach ◦Supporting and fundraising for charitable causes including, but not limited to, MDA and breast cancer organizations
