Barclay Damon attorneys team across offices and practices to provide customized, targeted solutions grounded in industry knowledge and a deep understanding of our clients' businesses. With nearly 300 attorneys, Barclay Damon is a leading regional law firm that operates from a strategic platform of offices in Albany, Boston, Buffalo, New Haven, New York City, Rochester, Syracuse, Washington DC, and Toronto. Our firm serves clients across the country and, for some practices, provides US legal services around the globe. The attorneys on Barclay Damon’s Tax Credits Team provide legal counsel to developers, lenders, owners, governmental agencies, and both not-for-profit and for-profit organizations on the planning and implementation phases of all deals where tax credits and similar incentives may be available. Our goal is to create legal structures to maximize the economic benefits available to clients. In particular, our attorneys have provided counsel and support for clients entering into qualified opportunity zone investments, historic tax credit projects, low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) projects, investments that produce energy-related tax credits, and projects under the Brownfield Cleanup Program, among others. Barclay Damon’s Public Finance Practice Area attorneys have been involved in all aspects of structuring billions of dollars of tax-exempt multifamily housing bonds utilized by state housing finance agencies, LDCs, and housing authorities to meet their financing objectives. We represent clients ranging from issuers and underwriters to developers and owners of affordable-housing projects. Our team also works with organizations that provide affordable-housing for families, senior citizens, and individuals in need of supportive services. We also handle matters relating to low-income housing tax credits and HUD programs such as Section 8, Public Housing, the Rental Assistance Demonstration, Community Development Block Grants, and the Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME).
