Cardiovascular
disease (CVD) is the number one cause of death in women in the U.S.
Traditionally, women and heart disease has been an overlooked area in terms of
research and education, with women often being misdiagnosed and undertreated.
This program will address multiple facets of CVD in women. Experts in CVD in
women will present the latest research, providing the most up to date
guidelines and recommendations on pregnancy, menopause, hypertension, stroke,
arrhythmia, coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease and diabetes
in women.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is
designed for primary care physicians, internists, cardiologists, interventional
cardiologists, obstetrics, maternal and fetal medicine, breast cancer
specialists, neurologists, vascular disease specialists, bariatrics,
cardiothoracic and diagnostics radiology, intensivists, RNs, NPs, PAs an other
medical professionals involved in the evaluation, diagnosis and/or management
of patients with cardiovascular disease.

The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) recognizes the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as approved accreditors and allow reciprocity for AANPCP continuing education credit. Maximum of 7.25 hours.
