Queensland's Premier Event for all turbine aircraft including jets, turbo props and helicopters is on again. Enjoy a 1340m x 30m bitumen runway, and the fellowship of the awesome Queensland turbine community.
The “Over Fly” area is huge, and the surrounding area is all grass which helps with a wheels up emergency landing. The site offers plenty of room for tents and vehicles. The QTF event is a “Jet Together”, not a competition, although there are numerous awards given for “Best Of” categories. The event has averaged 50 pilots and the same number of crew members, along with hobby related vendors over the past years.
QTFly-in 2019 commences Friday and finishes Sunday. Thursday afternoon is used for setting up only, pilots are welcome to setup their tents and trailers.
Registration for pilots opens at 1100hrs Thursday, stays open till 1600hrs. Then from 0700hrs till 0900hrs Friday and Saturday. We encourage pilots to pre-register. Flying takes place from 0800hrs until 1600hrs each day.
If good weather prevails we can expect many spectators over the three day period. There is an experienced Flight Line crew on hand to manage the flight station safely. We have overnight storage so that pilots and vendors may leave their equipment on site. Pilot tents are along the flight line.
Breakfast & Lunch will be available each day onsite at the Aero Club house provided by members of the Goondiwindi Model Aero Club.
