Who should take this course?

People who are currently working in a long-term care facility who either already qualify to take the Arkansas State exam and the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) exam OR just want to further educate themselves on the Administrator role. 

What will I do in this course?

To audit the AIT course you will only be required to participate in class room instruction. A facility-based internship with a preceptor is NOT required to audit the class. 

How long is this course?

This course is 16 weeks total of classroom instruction. Classroom instruction is two 8 hour days per month (for a total of 72 classroom hours). 

How is the class structured?

The course is offered once a year.  Due to COVID 19, restrictions in place at nursing homes and recommendations on gatherings, at this time, these courses will be offered virtually.   We are closely monitoring the situation and will let students know if there are any changes. Each class session will be two days long and will begin in April and run thru August.

What is the cost of the course?

The cost of the entire course is $500. This includes classroom instruction and materials.
