Join us for the 2020 Annual Meeting....
The Spring meeting begins with the Education Conference on Saturday, October 3rd and is open to our instructors, instructional staff and interested guests.
Learn about cognitive and social emotional factors that affect resilience in students with dyslexia. During the Education Conference on Saturday, October 3rd,you will:
The Education Conference Keynote speakers are Dr. Fumiko Hoeft
and Dr. Kate Monahan. These presenters, two exemplary, widely-recognized,
and respected speakers, are currently researching these topics from
different sides of the same coin. Few children learn to read and
write without instruction. Most need explicit systematic
instruction. The complexity involved in learning to read and write
includes the interaction of protective factors, risk factors, cognitive
factors, and social emotional factors. All of these have an impact
on development of resilience—especially for students with dyslexia.
The Instructors/Instructional Staff meeting is scheduled from 8 am Saturday through noon on Sunday. This meeting provides an opportunity for
