The Arkansas Health Care Association is proud to conduct our Annual Emergency Preparedness Updates for long term care facilities. We have partnered with the Arkansas Department of Health to conduct this valuable training regionally across the state. This year’s training will focus on emergency plans, specifically tornado safety. There will be presentations on the development of disaster planning/emergency management programs, as well as how to plan, prepare, mitigate, respond and recover from a disaster or other critical incident. Speakers will facilitate discussion of recent tornadoes and impact on facilities. Attendees will learn best practices on planning and utilizing emergency preparedness plan during disaster.


3.0 contact hours have been requested for licensed nursing home administrators through the Arkansas State Office of Long Term Care for this Continuing Education Activity.
