Community School Supervisor Boot Camp

Community School Supervisor Boot Camp 2023

The National Center for Community Schools at Children's Aid is now accepting registrations for Community School Supervisor Boot Camp, our newest professional learning opportunity designed for those who directly supervise community school coordinators.

While community school coordinators go by different titles — “Site Facilitator,” “Hub Coordinator,” or “Community School Director,” to name a few — no matter what they are called, providing them meaningful direction and support is critically important to the success of community schools. They need a dedicated supervisor that can help build their capacity, navigate school systems, scale their strategic efforts, and remove obstacles to collaboration.

Supervisors attending boot camp will be able to:

  • Leverage a deeper understanding of the foundational skills, functions, and characteristics of effective community school coordinators in providing direction and support to their supervisee(s)

  • Strategically build relationships across systems in support of coordinators navigating the school community.

  • Build collaborative structures that enable conditions for the successful development of the community school strategy.

Our practiced-based team of facilitators looks forward to helping you to hone the leadership and strategic skills essential to help coordinators disrupt inequity and provide every child with opportunity and a sense of belonging.

To learn more, check out our Agenda at a Glance.

In order to ensure a meaningful and interactive experience, we will have a limited number of slots available. Also, please note that this opportunity is only available for individuals who directly supervise one or more community schools coordinators (or equivalent titles).

Now more than ever, community schools are the right strategy to support students, families, and communities. We welcome you to join us – register today!
