GENIVI has expanded its scope from its strength in Linux-based IVI and automotive open source software to focus on helping automakers integrate the multiple operating systems present in the centralized and connected cockpit. We call this new strategy Multi-OS Integration and it expands our focus to include Android Automotive and Adaptive AUTOSAR.
GENIVI has also launched an active project exploring an end-to-end architecture linking in-vehicle data with back-end cloud servers. The Cloud and Connected Services project seeks to bring harmony to a fragmented ecosystem where an abundance of start-ups, proprietary solutions and disconnected standards complicate the important decisions being made by OEMs around data usage.
Finally, GENIVI will gather automotive cybersecurity experts to open collaborative dialogs that arm OEMs with necessary tooling, analytics and frameworks needed to secure their products.
Working sessions of the GENIVI-hosted Android(TM) Automotive Special Interest Group (SIG) and the Cloud and Connected Services project will be held on both days. The Cybersecurity workshop will be held on the 13th.
