Building school culture and staff capacity is one of the most important functions of school leadership. The degree to which student learning can be accelerated is in direct correlation to the capacity and culture of a school and its staff. Successful accelerated student learning requires a data-driven, results oriented culture of high expectations, skillful instruction and strong support for every student. These conditions do not occur by chance. These conditions must be created by school leaders who understand how to continuously improve staff capacity and cultivate a collaborative culture focused on the highest student outcomes.
