Program Overview
These webinars were recorded on December 15, 2020, January 26, 2021, and February 23, 2021. “Treating Cleft and Craniofacial Abnormalities,” is a series of (3) recorded webinars focusing on the latest in the diagnosis, medical and surgical management of cleft, craniofacial, vascular and jaw abnormalities as well as innovative minimally invasive surgical options and virtual planning in the field.
Learning Objectives
- Explain the prenatal diagnosis of cleft and craniofacial deformities including the role of counseling.
- Define treatment standards of cleft lip and palate abnormalities in children
- Discuss surgical options including novel minimally invasive techniques in craniofacial procedures and innovative virtual planning.
- Explain the diagnosis and treatment of vascular and jaw anomalies
- Describe orthognathic surgery and mandibular distraction in the treatment of the craniofacial patient
Target Audience
This activity is designed for plastic, reconstructive and oral surgeons, neurosurgeons, otolaryngologists, orthodontists, audiologists, psychologists, speech and language pathologists, nurses, social workers, pediatricians and maternal-fetal medicine physicians who might be involved in counseling or referring patients with cleft and craniofacial abnormalities for specialist evaluation and other medical professionals involved in the evaluation diagnosis and management of patients with cleft and craniofacial abnormalities.
