The 6th Biennial International Symposium on AMD, which will take place at The Starr Center at Schepens Eye Research Institute of Mass Eye and Ear in Boston on September 29-30, 2023, is one of the field’s most highly praised and popular events for its in-depth and thoughtful discussions of the pathogenesis of AMD. We anticipate 200-250 attendees, including clinician scientists, researchers, industry representatives, and trainees. 

National and international experts in a broad array of topics as well as leaders in related disciplines outside ophthalmology will be participating. Subjects that will be covered are Omics, Immunity, Oxidative Stress, Aging, Retinal Pigment Epithelium, and In Vitro Models.

Each session will be led by a moderator with expertise in the topic and will consist of two or three 20-minute talks, including five minutes of questions followed by an extended panel discussion. 

The goal of the meeting is to highlight the latest innovations in AMD disease research. This conference is directed toward practicing clinician-scientists, basic researchers, industry representatives and trainees.
