• Connect with other youth over shared issues and passions, become more involved in your communities and look towards your future
• A wide variety of workshop topics make it easy to find a workshop for you
  • Workshops topics include: graffiti, planning for the future, breaking down cultural barriers and leadership
• A Youth Planning Committee of six youth support the planning process and lead workshops--- making the VYC a conference designed by youth for youth
• A Resource Fair will connect participants with local colleges, health services, job development programs and volunteer opportunities
  • Preview of organizations: Peace & Justice Center, AmeriCorps, Vermont Works for Women, Vermont Adult Learning, Job Corps and many more!
• The conference will be topped off with a Dance Party and local DJ!
• FYI: Attending this event can count as volunteer hours for your school. If you attend the full day then you will recieve 8 volunteer hours, if you choose to help with set-up or clean-up for the event, then you will recieve 10 volunteer hours.

ANNOUNCEMENT: The "How To DJ Workshop" has been replaced with a workshop by the Young Writer's Project. 

Performance Writing: A fun, powerful workshop in writing for performance -- slam poetry, hop hop, rap led by Young Writers Project performance writing coaches Rajnii Eddins and Denise Casey. The pair, performing artists themselves, will help you find and put together ideas and help you present it to the group. Bring energy!
