We are pleased to invite you to our inaugural Genomics@Wayne Symposium, October 28th, in the new cross-campus Integrative Biological Sciences Building IBio. Genomics@Wayne was initiated with the generous support of the Office of the Vice President of Research in January 2016. Our mission is to foster and accelerate growth of Next Generation Genomics in the state of Michigan by enhancing communication and collaboration of researchers, clinicians and educators within the University and our surrounding community.
Our confirmed keynote speakers include Stephen W. Scherer (Hospital for Sick Children and University of Toronto) who will be speaking on "Genomes, autism, and more whole genome sequences" and Robert Mitra (Department of Genetics, Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis) who will be speaking on "Recording transcription factor binding during vertebrate development". There will be additional oral presentations from invited speakers and selected abstracts. We are particularly encouraging submissions for poster and oral presentation by students and postdocs in any topic related to research in genetics, genomics and any other 'omics.
The deadline for registration and abstract submission is September 30, but we encourage early registration to help us to better plan for this event. You will receive a confirmation email upon registration with instructions to the abstract submission system.
Registration is free but space is limited. For more information about this event, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
