Irkutsk National Research Technical University invites international students to take part in the Russian Language School on Lake Baikal.
Participation in the International Summer School of INRTU gives students the opportunity to practice the Russian language, plunge into Russian culture, see the great Lake Baikal and have a lot of fun.
The total cost of the school is 49,500 rubles. This payment includes:
- tuition costs (36 hours of intensive study of the Russian language, history and culture of Russia),
- transfer (from the airport to INRTU, a trip to Baikal, to Taltsy, Ust-Ordynsky village),
- accommodation in double or triple rooms of the INRTU dormitory for the period of the summer school in Irkutsk
- 2-3-4-bed rooms on Baikal,
- the cultural program
- 3 meals a day.
Additionally, each participant will need to pay at their own expense:
- travel to Irkutsk and back
- medical insurance (5000 rubles)
- visa fee (1600 rubles)
- travel around Irkutsk by public transport
In addition, you must have money for personal expenses.
The academic program of the School
consists of a block of thematic lectures, discussions and a practical course of
the Russian language. The program
consists of 36 hours of intensive study of the Russian language, history and
culture of Russia.
Study type: on campus, face-to-face
NOTE: Due to the situation
concerning Covid-19, classes schedule, lecturers and visiting sights can be
changed.
Summer School will be held if the
amount of participants is at least 15 people.
The applicants for RUSSIAN LANGUAGE SCHOOL ON LAKE BAIKAL should fulfill
the following requirements:
Age – over 16 years old, be motivated to learn the Russian language and Russian culture, be in good health.
The
program is conducted in Russian that is why the students should have good
command of the Russian language (not lower than A2).

Academic
classes are accompanied by the diverse extracurricular activities. The School
participants are invited to take part in excursions, sports events, visit
museums, master classes, old manors, ethno-park, crafts festival and other
well-known and interesting places of Irkutsk. The highlight of the cultural
program is a 2-day trip to Lake Baikal.
A
certificate of participation will be issued at the end of the summer school.
