USE THIS FORM FOR SUBMISSION OF STUDENT SCIENTIFIC ABSTRACT PRESENTATIONS
Thank you for your interest in submitting a student presentation. We look forward to reviewing your abstract and hopefully adding it to our robust meeting program.
Scientific abstracts are limited to 2,500 characters (including spaces). The abstract must be informative, and must include the subheadings listed below, in uppercase and bold within the body of the abstract.
BACKGROUND:
PURPOSE:
METHODS:
RESULTS:
CONCLUSION:
If multiple abstracts are being submitted from the same study, each abstract must have a unique title/purpose, and must include specific information in the methods, results, and conclusion that are directly related to the purpose. Separate abstracts may NOT use the exact same purpose and methods, etc. Using identical wording in separate abstracts is considered plagiarism and will result in both abstracts being rejected. Scientific abstracts MUST include data to substantiate the findings/conclusions being drawn including the presentation of values (e.g., means and standard deviations). Abstracts that simply state P values and do not provide descriptive values for their data will be rejected.
Full submissions guidelines can be found here.
Student presenters must include their faculty mentor's name and contact information in this application.
The "Presenting Author" is the individual who will be delivering the presentation, while everyone else associated with the presentation is classified as an "Author".
By submitting this Student Presentation Abstract Application, you understand that if accepted, your presentation could be scheduled for either day of the annual meeting. Additionally, all student presenters are required to purchase a MWACSM membership and meeting registration.
Abstracts submitted between 05/01/26 and 07/02/26 (by 11:59 PM Central Time) will be eligible for undergraduate and graduate student awards.
Abstracts submitted between 07/03/26 and 09/04/26 (by 11:59 PM Central Time) will not eligible for undergraduate and graduate student awards. Submissions close to the final deadline may also not have time to revise and resubmit if rejected.
