Rice University Parking

Click here for a downloadable Parking Map!

  • The above campus map highlights our conference venue and the recommended parking garage. Should you access the attachment from your phone, the links are live--so when you click on one, it will take you directly to that location on your phone's selected map platform (Google Maps or Apple Maps).

  • GPS Coordinates for the Conference Venue📍: Please use the Google Map Pin for Kraft Hall or the Apple Map Pin for Kraft Hall. This will take your GPS to the front entrance of the building, if you are being dropped off or walking. Please note there is no parking immediately adjacent to Kraft Hall.

  • GPS Coordinates for the recommended parking garage📍: The parking garage underneath McNair Hall, the Central Campus Parking Garage, is the nearest garage to our conference venue. Please use the Google Map pin for McNair Hall for parking, or the Apple Map Pin for McNair Hall for parking if you will park on campus. This will take you directly to the entrance of the parking garage, and then you may follow the walking instructions on the attached map to the conference venue. See the instructions on the parking machine at the entrance of the garage, or see our linked guide in our parking attachment. Parking rates for this garage are $13 daily maximum for each exit.

  • Rice University Campus Shuttle 🚎: Our Transportation Department manages a fleet of Rice University air-conditioned shuttle buses. Our Inner Loop campus shuttle operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm, every 8-10 minutes. We recommend you use the Inner Loop route for the fastest route to Kraft Hall. You may also use the Greater Loop route to reach Kraft Hall, which operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, every 10-15 minutes. If you ask any shuttle driver to take you to Kraft Hall, he or she can also verify that you are on the correct route and direct you when to exit the shuttle. The shuttle stop immediately in front of Kraft Hall is Stop #5. You may also use the following link to track the various shuttle routes to determine current wait times nearest the shuttle stop where you may be waiting.
    • For those who choose to try out our on-campus pub, Valhalla, you may take a campus shuttle to bus stop 14, which is immediately in front of the Valhalla entrance. To enter, take the external stairs downward (the stairs heading up will take you into a lecture hall). Valhalla is a beloved gem on campus that any graduate student, faculty, or staff member would describe as a part of the quintessential Rice experience. This is a very casual, no-frills, cash-only pub, but full of energy and enthusiasm. Valhalla is inside of Keck Hall, which is number 8 on the campus map.
