For 2026, the workshop will focus on navigating change in the banking industry. As John Maxwell once said, “Change is inevitable. Growth is optional.” As banks across the West continue to adapt to an evolving environment, this workshop will explore changes related to innovation and emerging technologies shaping the future of banking, from both a risk management and consumer compliance perspective.
The workshop will also address developments in the
overall supervisory process and highlight key considerations related to
capital, earnings, liquidity, and interest rate risk. In addition, participants
will engage in a more detailed discussion of asset quality, with particular
attention to commercial real estate lending and reserving for potential loan
losses.
Additional sessions will include a local economic update presented by the FDIC’s Division of Insurance and Research, as well as a question-and-answer session with a regulatory panel.
