The Black Queer Legacy Summit is a free, community-centered gathering designed to uplift, connect, and celebrate Black queer voices, leadership, and lived experience. Taking place on Friday, June 5 from 12–5 PM at the Ashe Cultural Arts Center, the summit will feature lunch, interactive dynamic panel discussions, and intentional networking opportunities. Created as a space for learning, dialogue, and collective growth, this event brings together community members, creatives, advocates, and leaders to honor legacy while building pathways forward. The summit is powered by ViiV Healthcare and is open to all—registration is required, but attendance is free.

Pleasure, Please is an interactive conversation-based session designed to explore pleasure as a vital part of sexual health, wellness, and self-expression.

When Faith Hurts explores spiritual abuse and harm in religious spaces, centering Black LGBTQIA+ experiences. Grounded in healing, it offers tools for language, liberation, and creating affirming communities.

Earl Nupsius Benjamin-Robinson, DrHSC, CPH, FNAP

As a Board-certified Public Health Practitioner and Distinguish Fellow of Public Health (at the National Academies of Practice), Dr. Benjamin-Robinson is committed to community and health equity.

Nikia Jasmine

Wellness facilitator, doula, and space-holder devoted to helping women feel whole, seen, and connected through movement and healing.

Morris Singletary

We educate, link, and love community in and around sexual health and public health issues.

Paris Allen

Paris Allen is a rising senior Public Health Major from New Orleans Louisiana. He is a 3x HBCU King. He is HBCU student of the year from Black Pride Nola.

Shay Caldwell

Shay Caldwell is an Emmy-winning TV producer, creative visionary, and co-founder of Queer Aunties, a community-driven platform creating intentional spaces for Black and brown queer and trans people to connect, celebrate, and feel seen.

Del'Rio Cole, DSW, LMSW, HIVPCP, CCM

Dr. Del’Rio Cole is a psychotherapist, professor, and scholar focused on trauma, mental health, and culturally responsive care. His work centers on religious trauma in the Black LGBTQIA+ community, integrating clinical practice, research, and advocacy.

Rev. Peter Scie

Rev. Peter Sean Scie is an ordained minister, Navy veteran, educator, and community advocate committed to justice, liberation, service, and transformative leadership.
