POSTER ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

POSTER ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Deadline for Abstracts: August 31, 2026

The International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG) invites submissions for its annual Poster Session and Reception, held during the ICRG Conference on Gambling and Addiction. This session showcases the latest empirical research on gambling disorder, responsible gambling, prevention, treatment, and public policy, while providing presenters with an opportunity to engage directly with researchers, clinicians, industry professionals, and policymakers from around the world.

Each year, a selection committee recognizes exceptional submissions through the Outstanding Poster Award and Honorable Mention Awards.

Returning This Year by Popular Demand: Poster presenters will once again have the opportunity to showcase their work during the Poster Lightning Talks, a series of brief presentations held immediately before the Poster Session and Reception. These fast-paced talks give presenters the opportunity to highlight their research, introduce key findings, and encourage attendees to visit their posters for further discussion.

Submission Guidelines

Subject Matter: Abstracts must report on empirical research related to gambling disorder, responsible gambling, prevention, treatment, public health, policy, or other aspects of gambling-related research. Abstracts will be evaluated based on scientific merit, originality, and relevance to the conference.

Abstracts must be submitted electronically in Microsoft Word® or another editable document format. PDF submissions will not be accepted. Please use a font size no smaller than 12-point.

Each submission must include:
  1.  Title of the presentation
  2.  Name(s) and affiliation(s) of all authors
  3.  Email address of the presenting (first) author
  4.  A statement from the first author certifying that any research involving human or animal participants complies with the ethical principles outlined in the World Medical Association's Declaration of Helsinki and all applicable institutional requirements.
  5.  A poster abstract (maximum 500 words) prepared in APA format for text and references.

The abstract should include:

  • Background and objectives
  • Sample and methods
  • Results (or preliminary findings, if applicable)
  • Implications for research, policy, or practice
By submitting an abstract, at least one author agrees to register for the conference and present the poster in person. An individual may serve as the first author on only one submission.

Rolling Review

Abstracts will be reviewed on a rolling basis as they are received. Early submission is encouraged, as accepted abstracts may be announced prior to the final deadline. The final deadline for submissions is August 31, 2026.
