2026 DFMI: Orlando

Dates: May 27 - 28, 2026 | Pre-Conference: May 26, 2026

Our second event in the Defense Financial Management Institute (DFMI) 2026 series, DFMI Orlando!

Formerly known as the Professional Development Institute (PDI), this is our next chapter in defense financial excellence. DFMI is more than a single annual gathering—it’s a growing series of high-impact regional events designed to deliver career-long education, expertise, and excellence for financial managers working to secure our nation’s defense.

2026 Theme: Mission‑Ready FM — Aligning People, Policy, and Technology for Measurable Outcomes

Why DFMI?

  • Innovation: Aligning with our mission to advance national security through financial leadership and modernization.
  • Expanded Reach: Regional events like DFMI Huntsville and DFMI Orlando bring learning closer to home.
  • Focused Impact: Sessions tailored to today’s defense financial challenges—driving accountability, transformation, and strategic decision-making.

The DFMI event series is undergoing several exciting changes. With a new name and branding for all events, participants can expect a refreshed experience that features targeted sessions and expanded networking opportunities. These updates are designed to better serve the evolving needs of defense financial managers and foster greater engagement across the community.

DFMI remains committed to delivering top-tier professional development. Attendees will continue to have opportunities to earn CPEs and connect with thought leaders, ensuring that the core value of career-long learning and expertise remains at the heart of every event.

There will be no concurrent, virtual option for DFMI events. SDFM may offer an on-demand version of some or all of the DFMI content at a later date, but as of now, there is no timeline for that product decided or announced.
