Disclosure Case Review: A Workshop for Providers, Staff, and Leadership

Disclosing and unanticipated outcome to a patient/family can be daunting and stressful.  Further, without appropriate training or knowledge, providers and staff may speculate about the causes of an unanticipated outcome, which could negatively affect the situation.  This program explores three case studies and immerses the learner in a disclosure conversation experience.  The program also provides guidance on how to frame the conversation, and it delivers useful strategies essential to successful disclosure outcomes.
