International Women’s Day—Women, Climate, and Community
A special program highlighting women’s leadership, care for our world, and collective action.
March 08, 2026  ·  Veasey Park

Celebrate the leadership of women in our region working at the intersection of climate and community.

In recognition of International Women’s Day and this year’s theme, Give to Gain — which highlights the idea that when we give through time, care, knowledge, and support, we strengthen one another and our communities — the Groveland COA invites the community to gather for a special program highlighting the voices of Paula Estey (The PEG Center) and Vanessa Lopez (Veasey Memorial Park).

They will share stories from their own journeys in environmental leadership — what gives them hope, the role of local action, and how connection and collaboration can strengthen both our communities and our environment. The program will include time for conversation and audience questions — a chance to listen, share ideas, and connect together.
