Jason has spent 20+ years with ASTTBC and is Director of Professional Practice and Development. A mechanical technologist, he leads professional standards, stakeholder relations, and key programs supporting ASTTBC.

Theresa McMurry

Theresa E. McCurry, BSc, PMP, is CEO of ASTTBC, leading its public-interest mandate under BC’s Professional Governance Act. With 30+ years of executive leadership, she is recognized for regulatory transformation and award-winning governance expertise.

Jeff Hay

Jeff has worked in the onsite septic industry since 2003 and has been a registered Type 1–3 maintenance provider since 2008. He specializes in troubleshooting and maintenance, with experience in major wastewater systems and projects in Nepal.

Krista Podwin

Krista Podwin, M.Sc., P.Eng., is President of KSP Septic Inc. and an environmental engineer with 25+ years of experience. A WCOWMA BC board member, she specializes in onsite sewage design and regional wastewater capacity solutions.

Craig Sapriken

Ron McMurtie

Ron McMurtrie, P.Eng., is a consulting civil engineer with 35+ years of experience in onsite sewerage and rural infrastructure. Co-author of EGBC Onsite Guidelines and founding board member of COTRA, he specializes in advanced treatment systems.

Brent Dennis

Brent has worked in onsite wastewater across Western Canada since 2005, specializing in system design since 2008. A founding WCOWMA-BC director and past president, he now helps lead COTRA advancing technical and regulatory standards.

Jennifer Hufnagel

Jennifer Hufnagel is Principal of Hufnagel Consulting and an AI Educator with 25 years in corporate training and process improvement. Based on Vancouver Island, she has trained 4,000+ learners in applied AI across Canada and globally.

Miguel Almassy

Miguel Almassy is a Biotechnology Engineer and Technical Director at DBO Expert, specializing in onsite wastewater treatment. He leads compliance and R&D and contributes to national standards committees, including CAN/BNQ and the Ontario Building Code.

James Stiksma

James Stiksma is the owner of Fraser Valley–based Canadian Septic Inc., specializing in onsite wastewater system design, installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair. With nearly 10 years’ experience, he is known for quality and technical expertise.

Mike Seymour

Barry Orr

Trefor is a ROWP [MP] and certified municipal wastewater operator with 11 years as Maintenance Manager at Onsite Systems Inc., providing field service and technical support across BC. He also instructs wastewater courses.
