Join the Lancaster Chapter of Credit Unions for a special Virtual Lunch & Learn Event

April 23rd from 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM

We will travel—digitally—to the birthplace of the North American credit union movement:
Maison Alphonse-Desjardins in Levis, Quebec, Canada the historic home of Alphonse Desjardins.

From this very house in 1900, a people-helping-people financial revolution began—one built on cooperation, trust, and community ownership. During this guided virtual experience, you’ll explore the preserved home where the first caisse populaire was founded and discover how a kitchen-table idea evolved into a global movement that still shapes our work today.

This interactive Lunch & Learn will include:

·         A live virtual tour of Maison Alphonse-Desjardins

·         Stories and insights into the origins and history of the credit union movement

·         Interactive trivia with prizes

To make it a true lunch experience, all registered attendees will receive a $25 DoorDash gift voucher to enjoy a meal while participating in the tour.

An invitation to join via Microsoft Teams will be sent prior to the event.

This is more than a history lesson. It’s a chance to reconnect with why credit unions exist in the first place. When we understand the roots, we serve with more purpose. And purpose, as it turns out, scales remarkably well.
