Hands-on experience is provided for all students and the overarching emphasis of the use of Incident Command System is featured throughout the course, and this course is the model for NFPA 2500 standards (2022 edition combined NFPA 1670, 1858 and 1983).
Large animal emergencies present unique challenges that require specialized knowledge, equipment, and coordinated response. This training is designed to provide emergency responders with the skills and confidence needed to safely manage incidents involving horses, cattle, and other large animals while prioritizing the safety of responders, animal owners, and the animals themselves.
Participants will learn recognized rescue principles, scene management, animal behavior, risk assessment, and practical rescue techniques from experienced instructors.
