Join your colleagues and peers at the 28th Annual Mission Possible Conference, which will take place on Tuesday, March 25, and Wednesday, March 26, at the Pitser Garrison Convention Center in Lufkin, Texas. This dynamic two-day event is designed to empower behavioral health, nursing, education, and community care professionals with tools to deliver personalized, client-focused care.


The event will offer continuing education contact hours for counselors, social workers, LMFTs, nurses, certified case managers, and activity professionals.

This conference focuses on self-care, burnout prevention, and implicit bias in treatment and provides actionable insights to elevate client-centered practices. Join a community of professionals dedicated to making a meaningful impact!


Conference Theme: Back to the Basics: Client-Focused Care

Conference Objectives:

  • Participants will identify gaps in care, understand diverse client demographics, and create personalized, culturally responsive treatment plans.
  • Participants will learn tools to improve clinical approaches, particularly in managing emotional dysregulation and integrating data-driven needs assessments.
  • Participants will identify self-care strategies and methods to prevent burnout.
  • Participants will explore the significance that implicit bias has on mental health treatment and identify culturally diverse approaches to enhance client outcomes.

Continuing Education:

Mental Health professionals: This program will provide about 9.5 hours of continuing education credit, including a 3-hour Resilience Preconference Workshop. Up to three hours of ethics will be available on the primary conference day for Social Workers, LPCs, and LMFTs.

Nurses: This continuing professional development activity for nurses will apply for approximately 9 hours by Louisiana State Nurses Association - Approver, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Activity Professionals: This activity will apply for Continued Education hours by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals.

FAQs

Meals
Registration includes a continental breakfast, snacks, and lunch on the main conference day. Snacks are provided during the pre-conference workshop.

Parking
Parking is available in parking lots to the North and South of the Pitser Garrison Civic Center.

Refund Policy
Registrants who cancel will receive a refund, less a $10 processing fee for refunds requested before March 17, 2025. A substitute may attend if conference registration is edited at least 24 hours before the start of the conference. Please email requests to kinnie.reina@myburke.org

After March 17, 50% of the registration can be refunded as long as the request is submitted by March 24, 2025.
