Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo

Donna Lupardo has been a steadfast champion for New York agriculture throughout her distinguished career in public service. Representing the 123rd Assembly District since 2005, she has served as Chair of the New York State Assembly Agriculture Committee since 2019, where she has worked tirelessly to strengthen New York's agricultural economy and support the state's farmers and food producers.

Under her leadership, Assemblywoman Lupardo has advanced initiatives that expand opportunities for farmers, strengthen local food systems, support beginning farmers, and promote agricultural innovation. She has been instrumental in the growth of New York's craft beverage industry, championed the legalization of industrial hemp, and advocated for programs such as Farm to School, Nourish NY, and Farmland for a New Generation.

A trusted partner of New York Farm Bureau, Assemblywoman Lupardo has consistently worked across the aisle to address the challenges facing agriculture while recognizing the vital role farmers play in New York's economy and communities. Her collaborative leadership and unwavering commitment have earned her the respect of farmers, agricultural organizations, and colleagues throughout the state.

Maureen Torrey

Maureen Torrey is a member of the 12th generation of her family to be involved with Torrey Farms, a diversified family farming operation in Western New York producing fresh market and processing vegetables and grains, along with dairy operations. She also operates a trucking company with her husband, Paul Marshall.

Throughout her career, Maureen has been a strong and respected voice for agriculture, providing leadership at the local, state, and national levels. She has served as chair of United Fresh, as a director of the Produce Marketing Association, and as the first chair of the USDA Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee. She also served for seven years as a director of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Buffalo Branch.

Maureen continues to contribute her experience and leadership to numerous agricultural, educational, business, and community organizations. She serves as a trustee of Genesee Community College and has held leadership roles with organizations including the National Council of Agricultural Employers, New York State Vegetable Growers Association, Erie and Niagara Insurance Association, and the New York State Agri-Business Child Development program.

A frequent speaker at agricultural conferences and industry events, Maureen has dedicated decades to educating others, advocating for farmers, and strengthening New York agriculture.
