GENERAL CONFERENCE INFORMATION

  1. When and where is the event being held?
    The Vertical MRO Conference will be held at the KF Centre for Excellence in Kelowna, BC on Tuesday, October 7th through Thursday, October 9th.  Hands-on training sessions will be held at local operators’ hangars on Friday, October 10th.
  2. Is parking available at the event venue?
    Limited parking is available at the event venue.  All parking options will be communicated to registered attendees prior to the event.
  3. Which airport should I fly in to?
    Kelowna International Airport (YLW)
  4. What are the Exhibit Hall hours?
    The exhibit hall will be open on Wednesday, October 8th and Thursday, October 9th from 8:00am-9:30am; 1:00pm-2:00pm and 4:15pm-6:15pm.

    Yes, the KF Centre for Excellence is wheelchair accessible. The facility has a wheelchair accessible entrance, elevator, parking lot, seating, and restrooms.
  8. Can I get credit for Recurrent Training or IA Renewal by attending this event?
    Recurrent training credit and IA Renewal credit will be available at this conference.  Your attendance at eligible sessions will be recorded and a Letter of Certification will be provided post-conference that you may submit to your company’s Training Manager or the FAA.
  9. When will I get my Letter of Certification?
    Letters of Certification will be emailed to you within two months of the event.
  10. How will I receive my Letter of Certification?

REGISTRATION

  1. What is the registration cost and what does that include?
    Registration to attend this conference is $299.00CAD.  This includes access to all education sessions, panel discussions and networking events.  Continental breakfast and lunch is also included.
    For companies with 10+ attendees, the registration fee drops to $199.00CAD per person.
    Because we want to encourage maintenance students and apprentices to attend, there is no charge for their registration.
    Please note that as of August 4th, the rate will jump to $349.00CAD for individuals and $249.00CAD per person for companies with 10+ attendees.
  2. After completing the registration, will I receive an email confirmation?
    YES- you will receive a registration confirmation email upon completing registration.
  3. What is the cancellation/refund policy for event registration?
    If for some reason you need to cancel your registration, please email Leslie Ferry at leslie.ferry@mhmpub.com  by August 4, 2025, to receive a full refund minus a $20.00 processing fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after August 4th.

  4. If I am unable to attend the event, can someone substitute for me?

  5. What type of payment is accepted for registration? 
    We accept VISA and Mastercard for credit card purchases.
  6. Will I receive a paid receipt for online registrations?
    YES- you will receive a receipt via email after you have completed payment for registration.
  7. How secure are my credit card details?
    All transactions are secured and processed through Authorize.net. No billing information is stored on any of our servers or shared with 3rd parties.
  8. I can’t pay by credit card; is there an alternate payment method?

  9. Can I make changes to my attendee registration and/or review my registration information? 
    Yes - Once you've registered you will receive an email confirmation which includes links to view and modify your registration details, personal info, contact methods and sessions you wish to attend.
  10. Are there group discounts available if we have more than one person who wants to register for an event?
    For companies who have more than ten (10) attendees, the registration cost drops to $199.00CAD per person.
  11. Is there a student/apprentice rate?
    YES…maintenance students and apprentices can register at no charge.  If you are a maintenance student or apprentice, please contact Leslie Ferry at leslie.ferry@mhmpub.com for a code to use when registering.
  12. Are early bird discounts available?
    YES-the early bird rate is $299.00CAD for individuals and $199.00CAD for companies with 10+ attendees.  This early bird rate will end on August 3, 2025.  On August 4, 2025, the registration rate will jump to $349.00CAD for individuals and $249.00CAD per person for companies with 10+ attendees.
  13. Can I register on-site?
    Capacity at the KF Centre for Excellence is limited.  Registration on-site will only be available if the event is not sold out.  The on-site registration fee is $349.00CAD for individuals, and $249.00CAD per person for companies with 10+ attendees.
  14. Where do I pick up my conference badge?
    Upon entering the KF Centre for Excellence, you will see the Check-In/Registration Desks on your left.  The Check-In/Registration area will be open to pick up your conference badge, along with a bag of goodies as follows:
    - Tuesday, October 7th - 8:00am-5:00pm
    - Wednesday, October 8th - 8:00am-3:00pm
    - Thursday, October 9th - 8:00am-3:00pm
  15. I have special accessibility needs/dietary requirements; can you accommodate me?
    YES, we can accommodate most accessibility needs and dietary requirements.  Please provide details about your requirements in the specified space in registration.  We will reach out to you to discuss and find a way to accommodate.
  16. Are the meals included?
    Yes, a continental breakfast is available in the exhibit area on Wednesday and Thursday.  Lunch will be provided on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  Refreshments will be available at the Opening Reception and in the exhibit hall each afternoon.
  17. What identification or information do I need to bring?
    Please bring along your registration confirmation email with QR Code pick up your conference badge/registration bag.


CONFERENCE APP

  1. Is there a conference app?
    YES-there is a conference app.  Instructions on how to download the app are included on the registration site.  You will also receive an email in the weeks leading up to the conference with instructions on how to download the app.
  2. How do I access/log-in/download the conference app?
    A link to download the Eventleaf Event Guide app is included in your registration confirmation email. You can also access links to download the app directly from the Eventleaf VMRO Conference page. 


HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS/TRAVEL

  1. Is there a recommended hotel where I should book my reservations?

  2. Is transportation between the hotel and event provided?
    Transportation will be provided between the Four Points by Sheraton-Kelowna Airport and the KF Centre for Excellence on Tuesday, October 7th-Thursday, October 9th.
  3. Is there a charge for parking at the hotel?
    The hotel charges $10.00CAD/night for parking.

  1. Can I bring my spouse and children to the reception?
    All events during the conference are for registered attendees only.
  2. Is there a dress code for the event?
    Feel free to dress comfortably for the conference.  If you have a shirt with your company’s logo, wear it – we’d love to see all of the companies represented at the conference!
  3. How do I request special meals or let you know about accessibility requirements.
