The MAHC Annual Conference is the nation’s best gathering of cooperative housing leaders. Our conferences are designed for those whose mission is to strengthen cooperative housing and the people they serve. MAHC conference provide the many specialized “nuts and bolts” seminars and training workshops. Participants engage in peer-to-peer educational sessions and learn from national experts on programs and policies to help cooperative housing members.

The MAHC Annual Conference will feature over 50 outstanding cooperative education classes taught by dedicated industry professionals and co-op members. All areas of co-op operations are addressed in the 2021 schedule of classes. The sessions will cover diverse topics including finance, marketing, new technology, conflict resolution, legal issues, disaster preparedness and many more. MAHC co-op members will have an opportunity to acquire practical knowledge that they can directly apply to improving the operations of their cooperative.

Certified Cooperative Specialist (CCS)
MAHC is the only organization to provide Certified Cooperative Specialist (CCS) training for board members. The Cooperative Education Workbook is continuously updated. The workbook, training and testing materials, and professional instructors create an exciting, dynamic, and pertinent cooperative educational experience.
This course is designed for managers and assistant managers of Cooperative Housing. Topics covered include fair housing, ethics, legal structure of cooperatives, policy making, decision making, financial integrity-ty, and battling renter mentality in today’s cooperatives. Our goal in the development of our educational program has been to bring learning opportunities to our membership which would prove to be meaningful and practical experiences.
