This 3-day course in St. Joseph, Michigan covers basic metallurgy principles, binary phase diagrams, TTT diagrams, heat treatment of steel, inclusion classification, and microstructure identification.
This class curriculum is primarily lecture with brief lab examples and final review in the lab of matching actual mounts/microstructures with descriptions. The ASM Handbook, Volume 9 (Metallography and Microstructures) is included ($264 value).
