NCSPP 2020 Mid-Winter Conference “Amplification 2020—Amplifying Excellence in Professional Psychology: Augmenting Social Change and Social Responsiveness in Curriculum, Program Development and Practice” will explore the role of professional schools and programs of psychology in ushering in the next generation of socially-responsive psychologists who can lead social change. Over the years, NCSPP has shaped how professional psychologists are trained and envisions “The primary purpose of education for professional psychology is preparation for the delivery of human services in a manner that is effective and responsive to individual and societal needs…” (Weiner & Craighead, 2010).

"Amplification 2020" conference programming will offer a rich opportunity for discourse on augmenting the curriculum, clinical training, and program development of professional schools and programs. Second, the conference will amplify the variety of mechanisms NCSPP programs use to prepare socially responsive psychologists.  The conference will not only focus on NCSPP’s role in preparing the next generation of psychologists but will focus on amplifying the voices of professional psychologists and their contributions to the field of psychology.

All participants (members and stakeholders) will gain practical, groundbreaking, state-of-the-art knowledge to enhance their curriculum and clinical training programs.  Participants will also contribute to workgroups, white papers, dialogue on training and treatment guidelines, and round-table discussions.

The goal of the Conference Planning Committee for NCSPP’s 2020 Mid-Winter Conference was to curate a collection of workshop presentations and working groups focused on NCSPP’s long-standing value of being socially responsive.  As you begin the process of registering for the conference, you will see that the schedule balances time for productive work with time for self-care and relaxation.

National Council of Schools and Programs of Professional Psychology is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. National Council of Schools and Programs of Professional Psychology maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

Please note that all conference meetings, sessions, and activities are open to ALL conference attendees. The business meeting is integral to the success of our organization, and we often vote on items or discuss new business during this meeting; therefore, we ask that you make arrangements to attend and participate in this essential aspect of NCSPP governance.

As in recent years, the Dance/Celebration will be concurrent with a Silent Auction that will benefit hurricane relief in the Bahamas. Don't miss your registration for this annual opportunity to show off your moves as you dance the night away with a live band!

Please be sure that you select all conference activities during your registration process (i.e., meals, events, sessions).  We will use this information in assigning meeting rooms and selecting catering with the least waste.
