Using Bridges Intervention for Specially Designed Instruction- July 15th
This course is designed elementary CC teachers working with students in special education in the area of mathematics.

This course is designed to teach participants how to use Bridges Intervention materials for Specially Designed Instruction (SDI). Students work with models that spur thinking and build confidence—starting with manipulatives, moving to two-dimensional representations and then mental images. Organized by content rather than grade, progress monitoring is key to the program. Each focused, 30-minute session is matched to student needs.

Bridges Intervention covers:

  • counting and early place value;
  • addition, subtraction;
  • multiplication, division, word problems;
  • fractions; money and decimals.
