Enjoying wine together gives us a connection with the place in which the wine was crafted and the people who make California wine a unique symbol of our state. It is only natural that the CAWG Foundation was started as an expression of gratitude to the employees who help make the winegrape and wine community a special part of California culture. Join the California Association of Winegrape Growers Foundation (CAWGF) for a Foundation Reception, with elected officials, Tuesday, March 14, at The Gualco Group, Inc. office. Share the story of how we give back to the community through this important scholarship program while enjoying the views from lovely office of The Gualco Group, Inc, while networking with your industry colleagues and elected officials. The reception will be taking place after CAWG's Advocacy Day.
About the CAWG Foundation: Each year the Foundation awards three 4-year scholarships and three 2-year scholarships to high school seniors whose parent or legal guardian is employed by a California winegrape grower. In addition, one Robert Miller Memorial Scholarship is awarded each year. The three 4-year scholarships provide a total of $24,000 each for any campus in the University of California or California State University system. The three 2-year scholarships provide a total of $6,000 each at any California community college. Students may study the subject of their choice. The Robert Miller Memorial Scholarship provides either $500 for Alan Hancock College or $1,000 for Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
