Our excursion to Dingle is a bespoke experience exclusively for Radiology International that you won’t find in any of the guidebooks. The only town on the Dingle Peninsula in Co. Kerry, Dingle is a quaint and welcoming place steeped in Irish culture and traditions, where locals speak the Irish language and preserve the old ways. On our arrival in Dingle, you’ll choose a scenic walk or an exhilarating Dingle Sea Safari Rib Experience to start your day. Either way, you’ll take in the breathtaking views of the rugged Dingle Peninsula with its cliffs, caves, and abundance of marine wildlife. If you’re a Star Wars fan, you’ll immediately recognize the Skellig Islands in the Dingle Bay, featured in The Force Awakens as the setting for Luke Skywalker’s hiding place. Next, our group will be joined by traditional Irish storyteller Paudi O’Shea at his pub, named for (and once owned by) his father, a legendary Gaelic football player. We’ll sit down with Paudi for a few stories with traditional Irish tea and scones before heading in to the center of town town for a traditional pub lunch: Afterward, you’ll have some time to explore the shops and other delights of Dingle town before rejoining the group at the historic Dick Mack’s pub and newly opened brewhouse. There, we’ll have an exclusive beer tasting and settle in for a private performance of Irish dancing, featuring Riverdance cast members and accompanied by traditional Irish musicians.
