Alexandra Hinrichs is an award-winning author of fiction and nonfiction picture books. Her titles include The Pocket Book, The Lobster Lady, I am Made of Mountains, The Traveling Camera, and Therese Makes a Tapestry. She earned two MAs in Library & Information Studies and United States History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2011. She has experience working in school, public, academic, and corporate libraries, as well as in a children’s bookstore. For the past three years she has been the Library Information Specialist at Leonard Middle School in Old Town, Maine. When she isn’t deep in books, you can find her chasing, baking, or hiking with her three wild sons and two tame cats (although the cats skip the hikes and, when possible, the chases).
