The overwhelming and isolating context in which urban ministry leaders work and experience is why Desire Street Ministries exists. One of the ways we seek to strengthen leaders along their journey is through our Thriving Leader Series. An open event to executive directors, pastors, board members, practitioners, teachers, and laypersons. As always, we also encourage leaders to bring any and all volunteers and staff who work in these areas with your organization.
This session of the series will focus on Financial
and Fundraising best practices and important information for any ministry or
nonprofit. Many organizations find themselves in distress as it relates
to these two subjects, and our goal is to provide a chance to dig into these
two foundational areas. We hope to provide encouragement and equip
leaders with information and tools to help navigate what can be tricky and
confusing waters. We will pool together your experiences and
expertise, along with that of DSM Staff members, and representatives from Smith
& Howard and Coxe Curry & Associates. This event will be full of
great insight and knowledge as well as opportunities to apply the information
and experience in the room to your current situations. We hope to see you
