2023 CONVERGE Academic Competition
2023 CONVERGE Academic Competition
Online
October 01, 2022 - August 01, 2023

Convergent Science is thrilled to announce the 2023 CONVERGE Academic Competition. This competition will test your engineering skills as you design and execute a novel simulation in CONVERGE CFD software. Winners will receive cash prizes!

The academic competition is open to current graduate students. Prizes will be awarded in two divisions: students new to CONVERGE and students with prior CONVERGE experience. Submissions will be judged by a panel of experts on criteria including how well the simulation reflects the real world, the engineering knowledge demonstrated by the case, and the novel contribution of the project to the engineering community. You can enter your simulation to be judged in one of four categories:

  • Reacting flow and chemistry
  • Conjugate heat transfer (CHT)
  • Multi-phase flow
  • Fluid-structure interaction (FSI)

Student resources, including detailed scoring information, competition FAQs, submission instructions, and an example submission can be found here.
