Founded in 1966, the Rocky Mountain Neurosurgical Society held its inaugural meeting in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The organization represents one of the oldest regional neurosurgical societies in America. The annual scientific meeting is a rare mix of academic neurosurgeons, private practitioners, and future neurosurgeons in training. The scientific sessions are relaxed and collegial and the venues are family friendly.
